A DIARY - PART SIX
Last Saturday was Armed Forces Day in the UK, and in honour of our brave men and women, the park put on a fete! We had dancing, singing, ice cream, competitions, games, displays, a dog show and beer! Here’s a taste of what we enjoyed!

Last time I wrote about the park we were suffering from a drought and I posted a couple of pictures of the waterless stream and lake. Well, suddenly it all changed and now the levels are back where the should be and the hoses have been turned back on to nourish the bowling green.

Work continues apace on the children's Play Zone and its due to opened during the Party in the Park in August.

That's it for this visit. I'll leave you with a video of Virgin Soldiers, the brilliant local band that entertained us. I hope they do the same for you! If you want to know more about them, their Website is at http://www.virginsoldiers.com/the-band
